Ada County EMS

This building is a 4,137 square foot living and operating center for two ambulance crews. The installation was awarded LEED Silver in 2007. The mechanical systems accounted for 12 LEED points, with 5 of them as a result of EA Credit 1 for energy performance. The HVAC systems were designed and modeled around high-efficiency R-410A gas-fired packaged rooftop units with economizers. The crew sleeping quarters are conditioned using high efficiency PTAC heat pumps, each with their own t-stat for optimum occupant comfort and control of space temperature. Engine bays use evaporative cooling and radiant heaters.
