This 21,675 square foot building serves three different missions for the citizens of Ada County: weed control, pest control and mosquito abatement. The building received a Silver rating under the LEED New Construction category. The energy efficiency of packaged VAV gas-fired rooftop, single zone units helped the facility earn 5 points under Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1 for optimizing energy performance alone. Overall, the mechanical systems of the building accounted for 13 of the 38 points used to qualify the building for its Silver rating. Building was one of the first dual flush water closet installations in Idaho and is the first building to legally use waterless urinals in Idaho. Water reduction design was in excess of 40% less than standard fixtures.
